My
Dear Graduates:
Congratulations!
You have reaped the harvest
of your four years of study, and
have earned your coveted high school
diploma.
In the future, full
responsibility for your life will
fall on you.
Bog decisions lie ahead.
The next chapter in your life
will determined your vocation,
marriage, social position, the place
where you will live, raise a family
and make friends.
The passion to
succeed, to achieve great things, is
strongest in youth.
Heed it. I have faith that
you will meet this threefold
challenge immediately before you;
the capacity to adjust to a complex
society; the capacity to lead and
improve that society; and the
capacity to select and pursue a
worthy life’s work to add your
talents to society.
Pin-point your goals.
Direct your energies, your
talents, your desires to the
accomplishment of your ambitions. Regardless of your preferences for this or that vocation,
don’t quickly surrender your
dream.
Don’t underrate yourself.
Remember that if there is a
realistic aspiration, a combination
of inspiration will mean ultimate
success.
Let this be your
quest; that will pursue your
vocation with enthusiasm and
determination; that you will help
correct what is wrong in society, as
well as help build what will be
good; and that you never neglect to
treat your fellow man with kindness,
honesty, and goodwill.
Bon voyage and
Godspeed.
